Five Question Friday - August 5, 2011

How is it seriously Friday again? This last month or so of summer is whirring by like crazy. I look at my calender on my phone and it looks like every single day for the next month has at least 1 event, if not more. As much as I'm loving it, I may breath a sigh of relief come fall. . . then right after the holidays I will wish it all to come back to glorious summer once again.

   1. Do you have siblings and are you close to them?

Yes I have 4 siblings and we are a pretty close family. I am the oldest followed by two brothers, and then twin sisters. We all live close by and see each other fairly often. Family dinners are always rather hilarious. We tease each other a lot and always manage to have a good time. My mom had all 5 of us in 4 1/2 years so we are rather close in age.

   2. Would you rather be slightly UNDER weight or slightly OVER weight?

Maybe this isn't the PC choice, but definitely under weight. According to the personal trainers at my gym, I'm in the middle of what is considered a healthy weight, so if I lost another 10lbs I would be on the border of underweight. That is crazy because I could definitely lose more than 10lbs and still be healthy. Besides, if I was slightly under weight, I would enjoy eating extra calories so that I could go back up to a healthier weight.

   3. What's your favorite state fair food to splurge on?

I don't really do the state fair. It is overpriced, way too crowded, and kind of boring for what it is. If I do happen to go it is because several friends are going and I got dragged along. When that happens I enjoy the fresh cut fries. They are my one and only must eat at the fair.

   4. What are your thoughts on your kid(s) going to school in a few weeks?

Non existent since that won't be happening for a few years actually.

   5. Pool or ocean?

Most definitely the ocean - I miss it so. I grew up in Sydney Australia and we would go to the beach all the time as far as I can remember. Those are some of my best memories from childhood. Pools are fun too, I love the water when it is hot, but the ocean has a special place in my heart that no other body of water can hope to touch. . . moving I know!

I think I'll leave everyone with some random beach shots from my childhood:
