Another newbie to my lineup! This idea I found from a good friend Robin who has her own blog called Robin's Nest. She recently picked up photography and does an AMAZING job. I hope to be that good if I ever get around to picking up a decent camera. 5 Question Friday comes from a different blogger mom, a Minnesota gal like me. She posts 5 questions each week and many (over 100 it seems) answer them on their own blog. Her blog is called My Little Life.
So here we go:
1. What is your favorite summer time activity?
Hmmm, that is hard because summer is so much fun that I try to cram in as much fun as possible. I love tubing down the Cannon river. It is a lovely 4 hour ride that we have taken often over the last couple of years. It is fun to go in a big group and make it one big party the whole way down. For you MN locals, the Cannon is much cleaner than the Apple river, I highly recommend checking it out. I loved it enough to go down it while a week (or so) short of my due date last year. People called me crazy, and while I'm not arguing with them, it was amazing and felt good on my pregnant body. This year we plan on taking Kaelan down the short trip (which is closer to an hour long) for the first time.
Boating is fun too. I'm not one for big boats though. Little boats are where it's at! I love being able to go fast and to be able to feel the water. Unfortunately that is a little harder to enjoy while very pregnant. I remember the few times I did go on a little boat ride last year, we had to take it easy or else I would start having mild practice contractions.
Last but not least, summer BBQs with friends are always a blast. 'Nuff said about that!
There's a hard one. . . how does anything grilled work for an answer? OK if I have to choose I might say a grilled sashimi grade tuna steak (done very rare) with brown rice and a fresh salad (tomato, bell pepper, cilantro, red onion, lime juice, olive oil and a pinch of salt). My mouth is watering now, let's move on. . .

4. Do you have any talents?
You mean besides talking too much? None that I know of.
5. If you could instantly be an expert in something, what would it be? Why?
Photography. I love capturing beautiful photographs of the world around me and of course my kids. If I could do it better that would be awesome. One day I will get my DSLR starter kit but even that with the lenses is around $2K. . . i.e. WAY over budget for now.
